Appointments
To make an appointment either call in at the surgery or Tel:
(01642) 761085. You may see any of the doctors
but it is best to see your regular doctor. If you cannot keep any
appointment, it is important that you let us know as soon as possible
so that it can be offered to someone else.
We have four telephone lines serving the practice, but at peak times,
particularly mornings and especially Monday mornings, the lines
can be busy.
Please try to avoid these times for routine call, and if you have
to call at that time, please be patient.
Urgent Illnesses
These can be seen on the same day, as an emergency if you really
cannot wait. Otherwise, you will be offered the first available
routine appointment with the doctor of your choice.
Home Visits
Home visits, which are strictly only for those who cannot come
to the surgery, can be arranged by telephoning (01642) 762636 before
10.30 am - this is so that the doctors can arrange their visits
before they leave the Health Centre.
Telephone Advice
This is arranged between the receptionist and yourself using
a message system on computer which is checked by a doctor once daily.
The receptionist will usually ask you to ring around 12:00 noon
or 4.30 pm for a reply. For emergency advice, the emergency doctor
is usually available in the afternoon.
When the surgery is closed
Normally patients should wait until the next day to contact
own GP for advice or book appointments. When the surgery is closed,
you can ask for trained nurse advice via
NHS Direct on
(0845) 4647.
However, if there is an emergency for which definitely cannot wait,
the emergency doctor deputising service can be contacted on:
(0870) 240 6518
The emergency service would not have access to any of your notes
or records and should only be used in TRUE EMERGENCIES only.
Casualty Service
The nearest 24 hour Accident and Emergency Departments are at:
North Tees University Hospital, Hardwick, Stockton on Tees - Tel
(01642) 617617
James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough - Tel (01642) 850850
Parking
Available in shopping centre car park. Please do NOT park or obstruct
the spaces reserved for the doctors.
Wheelchair Access
The front entrance provides easy access for both wheelchairs
and prams.
